Early Orthodontic Treatment For A Nine Year Old

Why should a nine year old suffer with protrusive teeth that can ruin his or her self-esteem, ruin speech, and absolutely prevents chewing and digesting their food properly?  The other major reason for treating early is prevention.  What do you think will happen to protruding front teeth if they contact a set of handle bars, the edge of the pool, or a sidewalk while roller skating?  The teeth most likely will be broken off, or worse...knocked out completely.  It happens all the time.

Here we provide evidence that early orthodontic treatment is easy and fast.  This treatment took only four months start to finish.  We'll let the photos do the talking...!

Starting with a cooperative patient and progressing through leveling and aligning with soft thermal wire, stretchy power-chain to close spaces, and then finally tying the teeth together to hold them in place for a few months with light wire.

After the braces are removed, then a retainer will be worn at night.   How much easier can it get?
